Transportation

East Providence School Dept. - Transportation Office - 401-270-8232 East Providence school bus transportation will always center on providing safe, responsible and effective transportation for our students.

SY 25-26 District Bus Routes
Transportation 2024-25

We currently service eligible students to twelve East Providence Public Schools, twenty-six private and parochial schools, and twenty-six outside special education placement schools in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

Transportation Announcements

  • As many of you know, Martin Middle School will be under construction beginning the start of this '24-25 school year. Therefore, in order to lessen traffic and improve time delays, caused by the impending construction at both drop off and dismissal, we have reduced the mileage restriction from 1.5 miles to 1.0. This results in any students living more than a mile (not 1.5 miles) away from the school are eligible to take the bus. You will not need to complete an appeal. The intention and hope is that parents currently driving their children to school will depend on the bus for transportation. We are in the process of routing all students affected by this change. This information as well as all bus routes will be published on the East Providence School Department website, your child’s Skyward account, and in the East Providence Post. Please note: this mileage change only affects Martin Middle School. If unsure as to your distance or have any questions or concerns, please contact the transportation department at 401-270-8232.
