Providence Journal highlights: East Providence schools rebound from years in the cellar

The progress from a low-performing, physically crumbling system has been steady. Educators credit Supt. Kathryn Crowley, who arrived here 3½ years ago from Little Compton, as the driving force behind the transformation.
