Dear Parents,
Today is Monday, June 8, 2020. It is the beginning of our last week of the 2019-2020 school year. It has been a year of amazing accomplishments and true challenges. As parents, you have led the education of your children and provided the love, strength and dedication to your family that we wholeheartedly believe will lead to the highest of future success for all. We hold the utmost amount of respect and honor for you all.
Tomorrow (June 9), is our end of year drive-by celebration. We hope you will all come and say farewell – we have a small token for your child along with a summer calendar of fun family activities. Please remember for the sake of traffic, your classroom has a dedicated time to arrive. If you have not picked up your child’s belongings, we will have those ready for you, also.

As you may, or may not know, a special group of staff and community members worked this year to provide transitional activities for our Pre-k children entering kindergarten. One such activity included making videos of each elementary school so that parents and children could see their new school, since we unfortunately cannot visit them at this time. I will be sending you each a link to your new home school video and hopefully, we will be able to have a Google Meet, also.
Mrs. Moon and I would like to thank our teachers for all the hours of dedication they have given to make this very new adventure one of great success. Some of you will receive classroom videos, others have had special visits and still others have been sent special messages throughout our time at home. There are no words that can express the gratitude our hearts feels for each member of our school’s staff.
In closing, we wish you well, and can’t wait to see you tomorrow!

Good Afternoon, Parents,
Thank you for your continued dedication and hard work. Only two short weeks are left - we’ve got this! Two important notes, please…
Our Superintendent has asked us to be available to you next week to meet you curbside of our school to give you items and belongings of your child that were left in school in March. We are very happy to give these items to you. Please come to our school on the day and time listed below next to your child’s teacher. If you are unable to come at the time designated, please call the school and we will be happy to accommodate you at another time.

Secondly, on the last week of school, Tuesday, June 9, 2020, we will have an End-of-Year Celebration Drive-by! At a specific time, we invite you to drive by our school so that we may wish your family well for this summertime! This celebration honors all children – those going on to Kindergarten and those returning to Oldham next year. We have a small gift for your child as well as a summer packet of fun activities to do. We ask that you practice social distancing and that only one person leaves your vehicle. We ask that you wear a mask, also.
